The iCan Foundation, a strategic partner and preferred charity, works closely with Global Service Adventure in the implementation and funding of many of our projects.
The iCan Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2013. The Foundation is made up of people who want to work together to solve the problems that cause poverty, such as barriers to education and wealth creation.
The Board that governs the iCan Foundation has a lot of experience with different ways of creating social change. We try to improve and help small communities work together so that we can impact and ultimately reach the entire nation of Jamaica.
Our alumni often become ambassadors for the iCan Foundation raising funds and donations for projects that they were once a part of. This process allows the alumni to sustain and further develop relationships created in Jamaica and continue generating impact after their trips have come to an end.
We only have one planet, so we must take care of it. There are many ways we can damage the environment, like climate change and weathering. We need to use technology to stop harming the environment with our carbon footprints.
Education is the key to overcoming the cycle of poverty. We need to spend money on education and programs for young people. Doing this will pay off in the future. Agriculture is a natural resource that provides economic benefits for Jamaica and should be given more attention in the future.
